Hot take: a 2-star review on Fiverr taught me more than 50 five-star ones
A buyer knocked me down to 2 stars back in January over a logo delivery and the written feedback was just one line: "files were a mess." I was mad for a day, then I opened my delivery folder and saw 14 versions with names like final, final2, and finalREAL. So I started zipping everything with a simple readme and numbered folders, and my repeat buyer rate on Fiverr went from about 1 in 10 to 4 in 10 by spring. On Upwork I tried the same thing with my contract handoffs and got zero complaints about revisions in 3 months. It stung at the time but that one cranky buyer saved me a ton of back and forth. Has anyone else gotten a low rating that actually fixed something you were doing wrong?
