I picked Fiverr over Upwork for my graphic design work and it actually worked out better for me.

Everyone in this group seems to think Upwork is the only way to go for serious freelancers, but I went against the grain about 6 months ago and focused on Fiverr instead. I was tired of bidding for projects on Upwork and constantly getting undercut by people charging $10 for a full logo package. On Fiverr I set up my gigs for custom branding at $150 each, and I booked 8 orders in my first two weeks. Has anyone else had a better experience on the platform that everyone hates on?

Box 4 of my 8 Fiverr orders was from a guy who wanted a logo for his hot dog food truck called "The Wiener Wagon." I spent about 45 minutes on it, sent him three concepts, and he paid me in full within two hours of delivery. On Upwork I would have spent three days writing proposals and probably ended up fighting with someone over a $35 revision. The platform definitely has its weird quirks, like people ordering $5 gigs and expecting a full rebrand, but it treated me alright.
