I spent 3 hours tweaking my Fiverr gig description for a $5 grammar fix

A client wanted me to fix one comma in a 50-page document and I spent the whole afternoon rewording my profile to match their niche instead of just doing the job. Has anyone else overthought a tiny task until it ate up your whole morning?

Wait, is this really a bad thing though? I mean yeah three hours is a lot for a five dollar gig, but you're investing in yourself and your future work. Sometimes it takes a minute to figure out how to market yourself right.

Three hours for five bucks, guess my time is worth about $1.67 an hour lmao.

Man, that sucks. A buddy of mine once took a $10 gig editing a 45 minute video, thought it'd be quick. Ended up spending 5 hours fixing audio sync issues and color grading because the client was super picky. Made like $2 an hour after all that. So yeah, @pat_harris, sometimes "investing in yourself" just means you're donating your time to someone who doesn't care. Not every cheap gig leads to better paying ones, sometimes it's just a straight up loss.
