Just realized Upwork's $0.10 connects are now $0.15, but my Fiverr cancellations dropped 40% since April

After three years of mostly Fiverr, I switched a small proofreading gig to Upwork last month and the clients actually read my profile before messaging, has anyone else seen the quality gap widen that fast?

Wait, people actually read profiles on Upwork? That alone sounds like a different planet compared to Fiverr. I barely get a "hi" before they send a canned request that has nothing to do with my gig.
