Noticed a huge difference in client quality after I raised my rates $15

I used to charge $35 for logo gigs on Fiverr and got nothing but clients who wanted 10 revisions for that price. About 3 months ago I bumped it up to $50 and the whole vibe shifted. Suddenly people are sending me actual briefs instead of 'make it pop' requests. I'm booking fewer gigs but making the same money with way less stress. Has anyone else seen their client pool get better after a rate hike like that?

The higher price tag probably makes people stop and think before they message you, so you're filtering out the ones who just fire off requests without any planning. It's like a mental barrier that weeds out the tire kickers who haven't even figured out what they want yet. That $15 difference might be small to you, but it's enough to shift who takes you seriously from the start.

Man my buddy Mark does video editing and he was charging $80 for short form stuff and getting nothing but people asking for like 15 cuts and color grading changes for that price. He bumped it to $120 and the next week a guy who runs a legit podcast network messaged him with a full style guide and reference videos already attached. Said the dude actually asked what his workflow was instead of saying "can you make it go viral". Mark told me the biggest thing was he stopped getting those 2am "need this in 3 hours" messages from random accounts with no profile pic.

Honestly, I used to think that whole 'raise your rates to get better clients' thing was just people trying to sound smart online. I figured it was mostly luck or timing, not the price itself. But reading your post about the shift from 'make it pop' to actual briefs really hit home for me. Tbh, I tried a small bump after seeing similar stories and it actually worked, the whole vibe of the conversations changed. Ngl, it feels weird admitting I was wrong about that, but you can't argue with results like this.
