Showerthought: I thought the Fiverr buyer request thing was a total scam until I landed a $75 logo gig in Tulsa
I kept seeing people say they got real work from those old buyer requests on Fiverr, and after 6 months of nothing on Upwork I figured why not try it. Posted 4 custom offers in one night and a guy from Tulsa actually hired me for a $75 logo, paid on time and left a 5 star review. Is it just me or did the buyer request feature actually work better than the whole proposal system on Upwork?

Those old buyer requests got me a few quick jobs too, way better response rate than sending proposals into the void on Upwork. Sending a custom offer to someone who already posted what they need just makes more sense.
