The $10 late fee on Fiverr that I fought for 45 minutes and actually won

I was sitting in a coffee shop in Portland last Tuesday when Fiverr dinged me $10 for a late delivery because their own timezone glitch showed it as 2 minutes past deadline, and after escalating to a supervisor they finally admitted the error and refunded it, has anyone else gotten them to back down on a bogus fee?

Did you try turning your coffee shop and your laptop off and on again?

Oh man, I've been there. First thing is to restart your router AND your POS system at the same time, then wait a full 5 minutes before booting anything back up. That usually fixes the weird syncing issues between the two.

Restarting both at the same time has never done it for me, honestly. I've had way better luck just unplugging the POS terminal and leaving it off for a solid 10 minutes while everything else stays on. The router needs to keep broadcasting so the POS can actually find the network when it boots back up. If you kill the router too you're just guessing when everything's ready again.
