TIL spending $80 on profile boosts on Fiverr just buries you deeper
I put $80 into Fiverr boosts over 2 weeks trying to get my logo gigs seen, and I got 3 clicks and zero orders. Turns out the boost just pushes you up for a few minutes while bigger sellers with 500 reviews stay on top, so my money went nowhere and I couldn't even get a refund since boosts are not covered by buyer protection. Has anyone actually made boosts pay off on Fiverr, or is it just a tax on new sellers?
Man, that stings. Dropping 80 bucks and getting 3 clicks would make anyone feel sick, especially when you find out later that boosts aren't even covered by buyer protection. That part really gets me, because how is that not a trap for new sellers? Feels like you're just paying to sit in the shadow of the 500 review folks while they stay on top.
