Renovated a 1970s kitchen floor with LVP and the difference was night and day
Pulled up some gross old linoleum in a house near downtown and found yellow glue stains everywhere. Put down Luxury Vinyl Planks in a gray oak and the whole room looked 10 years younger. Has anyone else tackled a nasty glue removal job and found a trick that actually works?

Peel and stick is probably the only thing that glue is weaker than. Props for getting that job done, I would've just painted over it and called it a day lol.

Shot a heat gun at that old glue for about 20 minutes before realizing it was just melting into a sticky goo that made everything worse. @finley_smith has the right idea about covering it up honestly, but I went with a citrus based adhesive remover and scraped for what felt like days. The gray oak LVP sounds dope though, I bet that transformed the whole vibe of the kitchen. My arms were sore for a week but seeing that fresh floor with no yellow stains underneath made it worth it. Sometimes you just gotta commit to the messy part to get the clean result.
