Update: I thought mixing adhesive brands was a bad idea until a guy in Phoenix said he does it all the time.

He told me, 'The specs are just a guide, sometimes you gotta blend for the right cure time.' Anyone ever mixed two different vinyl plank glues on a job?

My crew saw a warranty claim denied last year over that exact mix.

I mean, that warranty denial is basically the whole reason specs exist.

Oh man, you've hit the nail on the head there. It's like the fine print exists just to trip you up. I remember my neighbor bought a supposedly "heavy duty" pump and the warranty got denied because he used the wrong brand of lubricant on the seals. The spec sheet had it buried on page 14. So yeah, @faithpatel, you're spot on. It's almost like they write those specs to protect themselves, not the buyer.
