Why does nobody talk about the glue-up time on that new 'fast set' vinyl plank adhesive?

Last Tuesday in a condo downtown, I had a 400 square foot job with this stuff. The can said 30 minute open time, but it started skimming over in maybe 15. Had to scramble to pull up and re-spread half a row, which set me back almost two hours. Has anyone else found a trick to keep it workable longer, or is it just a bad batch?

My crew ran into the exact same thing with that FastGrip Pro adhesive last month. We started mixing it in smaller batches and only spreading what we could lock in under ten minutes. Keeping the room cooler helped a bit, but honestly you just have to move way faster than the label says. I don't trust that open time at all anymore.

We switched to their winter-grade formula after reading @parker_webb's post. It gave us a solid 15 minutes of work time, no joke.
