Hot take: My aching back from lifting molds is no joke
I pushed through the pain last week and now I can barely bend over. Everyone says to lift with your legs, but when you're in a rush, it's easy to forget. I'm tired of seeing guys limp around the shop from avoidable injuries. We need to remind each other to take care of our bodies out here.

Honestly that "lift with your legs" thing is so true. I read a thing from a physical therapist who said rushing is the number one cause of those exact injuries.

Yeah, and nobody ever mentions how a bad floor can mess with your footing. That split second of slip is all it takes.

You're right that rushing can lead to injuries, but in my experience, it's usually part of a bigger picture. For example, someone might rush because they're tired and skip setting their stance, which strains their back. But even without rushing, lifting a awkward shaped object without planning can cause the same damage. So while speeding up is bad, the core issue is often not taking a second to think through the move.
