Salads on the shop floor get laughs, but I'm the one not napping after lunch.

Eating light keeps my head clear for the afternoon pour.

Actually, I used to believe in loading up at lunch to power through the day. But a few years back I tried skipping the heavy stuff and just having something light. The difference was real, no more fighting off sleep at my desk or that cloudy feeling. It turns out fueling your body without weighing it down makes a big impact on your focus. Now I get why you stick with salad even if it gets some jokes.

Can confirm, my post-salad naps are legendary (for all the wrong reasons).

About skipping the heavy stuff, that's key, but I found it's more about what you eat instead. Like, a salad can be light, but if it's loaded with creamy dressing and croutons, it's still heavy. I switched to vinaigrette and added some grilled chicken for protein, and that kept me full without the crash. It's not just skipping, it's picking the right light foods.
