Walked into an old foundry in Birmingham, the place had no dust but a ring of medals
Last month I stopped by a small shop outside Birmingham that's been pouring iron since the 60s. The owner showed me the original floor grate, worn down 4 inches from all the years of walking, and a wall of safety awards from the 80s. He said they stopped pouring hot metal years ago, now it's just pattern work and repairs. But the funny thing, the whole floor still slopes to the drain like we never left. Anyone else been back to an old shop that's lost its furnace but kept the layout?

That drain slope still carrying water means the place remembers, right?
