Finally seeing the benefit of a late payment clause in my contracts
I read about adding late payment fees on a blog and updated my template. A client was late with their invoice last month, so the fee automatically added to what they owed. They paid the full amount without any fuss, which saved me from sending reminders. It's a small change that really helps with cash flow.

Did they actually pay the late fee without complaining? I've always had clients push back on those charges. Putting it in the contract seems to make it legit.

Yeah, that "no chasing needed" part is the real win. It turns a stressful argument into a simple, automatic consequence. Saves your energy for the actual work.

A 10% late fee in my contracts saves me so much time. Clients just pay it when they're late, no chasing needed. Honestly, it's a must-have for smooth cash flow.
