Got burned on a project in Austin because my contract didn't cover scope creep
I was doing web design for a small brewery there, and the owner kept adding 'just one more small page' every week. After the third addition, I checked my agreement and realized I only had a vague line about 'deliverables' with no limit. I ended up doing almost 40 extra hours of work I couldn't bill for. How do you guys write your clauses to stop this from happening?

My Austin contracts list every single page upfront.

Wish I could say the same. My last one hid the important stuff like it was a treasure hunt.

That's the only way to do it. Saves everyone a headache later.

Yeah, listing every page upfront like David said is the move. I had a guy once who buried the payment schedule on page 8, and it was a mess. Now I make sure the first page has all the key numbers and dates in bold. Saves so much arguing later lol.
