Had a client ghost after signing because his contract had tiny typos
I was sitting at my kitchen table in Austin last June, just finished a three week project for a startup guy. Both of us signed the contract on DocuSign. Then he emails me saying he noticed 'a few little spelling errors' in the scope section and he's not paying until I fix it. I spent four hours arguing over commas and a missing period. He never paid the full $1,200. Said the contract felt 'unprofessional.' I should have just sent a clean version day one and avoided the whole thing. Anyone else had a client nitpick format instead of deliverables?

Always keep a clean template ready before sending anything.

Did I accidentally write my last contract in Wingdings or something?

The Wingdings font doesn't actually have a standard legal interpretation though, so you'd probably be fine. I mean, it's just a display issue, not like you signed it in hieroglyphics or something.
