Question about a freelance contract with my cousin for her bakery site
My cousin just started a bakery and asked me to design her website. I want to help, but I'm concerned about setting payment terms and revision limits in the contract. Any advice on handling freelance work for family members?

Ever done a job for family where you just know you're getting paid in cookies? Better make that contract solid before you're drowning in endless tweaks for zero cash. Just imagine your cousin trying to pay you with a stale croissant.

Come on, @the_john, is it really that serious?

Are you kidding? It's absolutely serious. When you work for family, lines get blurred so fast. Suddenly you're not just doing a job, you're in a guilt trip marathon. And if you don't set things clear, you'll end up redoing everything for a thank you and maybe a baked good. So yeah, contracts save friendships, not just paychecks.

Ever notice how people who say it's not serious are always the ones who get free work?
