Showerthought: Seeing how often gigs get vague on duties after the handshake, I now slap a bullet-point list of exact tasks in every contract. Stops the 'just one more thing' chats cold.

Yeah, the "just one more thing" chats are the worst. I read a blog post from a freelance designer who said the same thing, but they took it a step further. They actually list what the project does NOT include, right in the contract. Like, "this price does not cover content writing or extra revision rounds." Makes the boundaries super clear from the start.

But does that "not included" list actually stop clients from asking? Feels like some would just see it as a challenge to get that stuff for free anyway.

Listing what's not included can make a contract feel like a trap. Clients often see that list and start looking for ways around it. A solid scope of work should cover the main tasks, and you handle changes as they come. Too much detail just gives people more to disagree on. Keep it simple and save the headaches.
