Why every contract now gets a 72 hour cool off clause from me
I hit 30 signed contracts last quarter and that number finally made me see a pattern. In 7 of those deals, at least one party wanted to back out within a week of signing. Nothing illegal was happening, they just got cold feet or found a cheaper quote. I added a simple 72 hour cool off period to my template and the follow through rate jumped way up. Now I ask every client up front if they want that clause or not, and it starts a real talk about commitment. Has anyone else tried something like this or do you just eat the cancellations?

Haven't you seen people use it to hunt for a better deal anyway?
