A 2019 client told me my product photos looked 'soulless' and I argued with him for an hour
Back when I was hustling on Fiverr in 2019, a seller of handmade leather wallets said my shots had zero personality, just clean white backgrounds. I finally tried using his actual workshop desk and a lamp with a warm bulb, and that one change doubled his conversions in 2 months. Has anyone else had a harsh complaint that accidentally fixed a blind spot?

Those 70 bucks I spent on a used Canon T3i and a single softbox felt like a fortune back then. But honestly, I wonder if that guy just had a chip on his shoulder about something else, you know? Like maybe his wallets weren't selling because of the design, not the lighting. An hour long argument over product photos sounds less like a blind spot and more like a headache you could've just nodded through. Sometimes clients think a new backdrop will fix everything, but if the product itself is average, no warm bulb is gonna save it.
