Why I stopped using Fiverr for product photography gigs

Three years ago I did almost all my work on Fiverr, but I quit that platform in early 2023. The problem was simple: buyers expected $20 gigs to include full commercial rights and multiple retouched images. I had one buyer in Chicago demand 12 revised edits for a $15 product shot. After that I started doing local shop owners through Facebook groups instead. Now I charge $150 minimum per product and get paid before I shoot. Has anyone else had better luck finding work off those big platforms?

Is 12 revisions really that big a deal when you can just say no after the first few?
