A client in Boise once tried to pay me with a jar of coins and a firm handshake.

He said it was 'about $500' and the handshake was 'for good faith'. Ever had a client propose a truly bizarre payment method?

That Boise guy sounds like a straight shooter. A handshake deal and actual cash money, even if it's loose change, beats a bad check any day.

Totally agree with brian_hart, cash is king.

Yeah, a handshake and cash is solid. I sold an old bike that way last year, met at a coffee shop and counted out the bills right there. Felt way safer than dealing with apps or checks.

Oh for sure! That's basically how I sold my old gaming PC setup. Met the guy at a library parking lot, counted the cash, and handed it over. @brian_hart nailed it, apps just add too many extra steps and fees. Felt way more in control just doing it old school.
