Crossed the $1,000 invoice mark for the first time and it messed with my head a bit
I finally sent out my first invoice over $1,000 last week after three years of freelancing. I kept putting it off because I was nervous the person would ghost me or try to haggle it down. But they paid within 48 hours and didn't even question the number. Made me wonder how much money I left on the table by keeping my rates so low before this. Did anyone else have a weird mental block around charging bigger amounts?

Is it really that deep though? You wrote a number on a piece of paper and someone paid it. Congrats, but it's just an invoice.

Did a buddy of mine have this exact thing happen? He was charging $50 for logos for two years before he realized his clients would have paid $500 without blinking.
