Just landed my first $800 project... 3 months ago I was at zero
I've been freelancing for about 4 months now and my biggest win was landing a $800 web update project last week. Compared to my first few $50 gigs, this feels huge... how long did it take you guys to start seeing bigger numbers?

@dylan_ward nailed it about pricing but your first $800 is actually closer to 5 months of building trust though.

Good for you, that first big jump from $50 to $800 is a real milestone. It took me about six months to land my first four-figure project, and the thing that made the biggest difference was raising my rates even when it felt scary. Clients start taking you more seriously when your price is higher, and you naturally attract better projects. Keep building that portfolio and updating your profile to show the $800 project, not the $50 ones. You will look back at this in a year and wonder why you worried about it at all.

Always figured charging more would scare clients off but you're making a lot of sense. Might have to try bumping my own rates up and see what happens.
