Just saw my quarterly income hit 30k for the first time and it felt weird
I do freelance copywriting and this past quarter I cleared 30k, which is a huge jump from my usual 18-20k. It's a good problem to have, but it messed up my tax estimates and now I'm staring at a bigger bill. Part of me thinks I should just save the extra and be happy, but another part wants to put a chunk into a solo 401k to lower the taxable amount. Has anyone else hit a number that forced a quick change to their money plan?

Success always forces you to learn new rules you didn't need before.

But what kind of rules are we talking about? Like, the unspoken social ones for dealing with new levels of office politics, or actual legal/financial stuff you suddenly have to worry about?
