That $400 accounting software I bought last year saved my ass during tax season.
I kept ignoring my bookkeeping until April and that paid tool flagged all my deductions in 20 minutes, has anyone else found a specific software that actually pays for itself like that?

Yeah I used to think that was insane money for bookkeeping software but now I get it.

The "better to pay a late fee than buy software" thing hits different when you realize the IRS charges way more interest on mistakes than any software subscription ever could.

Man I feel that! I used to be the guy who'd rather pay a late fee than spend money on software like that. But after watching @ray562 talk about it and then trying it myself last year it totally flipped my head around. The auto detection on stuff you'd normally forget about adds up quick, mine caught a home office percentage I'd been calculating wrong for years.
