Took a flat $500 logo job in Atlanta and ended up doing 8 revision cycles

A local coffee shop reached out in March and I figured $500 was fair for a quick logo. Turns out they wanted 8 rounds of tweaks over 3 weeks, all on colors and fonts I already showed them. I learned to put a hard revision cap in every contract now, no exceptions. Anyone else get burned on unlimited revisions before?

Feel you on this one, @rowan_ross hit the nail on the head with that 3 revision cap, thats exactly what I started doing too after a nonstop situation like that with a bakery logo. Its wild how some folks will just keep asking for tiny font swaps forever if you let em.

Got burned hard on this exact thing a few years back with a food truck logo. Ended up doing like 12 or 13 rounds of revisions over a month because they kept changing their mind on the font every single time. I felt like a sucker for not charging more or setting a limit from the start. Now I always put a hard cap at 3 revisions in my contracts and charge extra after that. Learned the hard way that some clients will just keep asking for changes forever if you let them.
