Can we talk about the coworking space I visited in Phoenix last week?

I went to a new coworking spot near downtown Phoenix and noticed they had a big sign saying 'no legal discussions in common areas. I overheard two freelancers talking about a client contract and a manager asked them to move to a private room. Should I be worried about privacy at these spaces when I talk to paralegals or legal help on calls?

Isn't it weird how private spaces are getting less private everywhere these days? Coworking places are meant to be open and collaborative, but that rule feels like a red flag for legal folks who need to chat about sensitive client stuff. I'd probably stick to a coffee shop with noise-canceling headphones before I'd trust a spot with signs like that.

Paid for a private office at Bond Collective in Chicago and it worked fine for client calls.

I rented a private phone booth at a place called The Hive in Austin for two months straight. Paid extra for a soundproof room with a lock on the door, and it worked fine for my calls to the county health department about pest reports. If you need to talk legal stuff, just ask the front desk which rooms have real walls instead of curtains. Most coworking spots I've tried will let you book a private office by the hour if you explain you need confidentiality.
