Got some solid advice from a paralegal at a laundromat in Tampa
I was at the Sudsy Bubbles laundromat on Nebraska Ave last Tuesday and got talking to this older paralegal named Carol. She told me I needed to put my service terms in writing before any work starts, not just a handshake agreement. Has anyone else gotten good tips from random people like that?

Oh wow, I love that! I got nearly the same advice from a retired lawyer I met at a bus stop in Phoenix while waiting for a transfer. She basically saved me from a nightmare client by telling me to always get a deposit in writing too. Random strangers really do come through with the best practical wisdom sometimes.

Right? Some random person can change your whole outlook just like that...

@angelamurphy, isn't it wild how the universe just drops the right person in your lap when you need them? I got similar help from a lady at the laundromat once. She saw me stressing on the phone with a client who kept changing their mind and walked me through how to word my cancellation policy so I wouldn't get burned again. Stuck with me ever since. That bus stop advice probably saved you a whole lot of headache down the road.
