That freelance client who wanted unlimited revisions for a flat fee

Took on a contract review gig last month for a small business owner in Albuquerque. He paid $300 upfront and then kept emailing me with changes for three weeks straight. Told him flat fee means one round of revisions, not endless tweaks. Has anyone else had to set hard boundaries with clients who think freelance means unlimited?

Learned that lesson the hard way myself after rewriting a logo twelve times for a buddy's "quick favor.

300 flat means 300 worth of my time, not your whole quarter.

300 an hour is what I pay my plumber and he's here for maybe 20 minutes most of the time, @the_sage. If someone is paying you flat rate then they're buying your expertise not clocking your hours.
