Client ghosted me after 6 weeks of back and forth on a logo design
I was sitting in my home office in Austin when I got an email saying they went with another designer after I'd already done 3 revisions for free. No kill fee, no warning, just a polite brush off. How do you guys handle clients who waste your time without paying?

3 revisions for free is honestly on you man, not the client. lol. I get that you wanted to land the gig but 6 weeks of free work is just asking to get walked all over. Clients can smell desperation from a mile away and they will take advantage every time. Next time just send them a simple contract with a 50% deposit before you even open up your design software. If they ghost you after that at least you got paid something for your time.

Honestly, is there any area of life where people respect you more for giving away your time for free? It's the same reason friends who always offer to pay for dinner get taken advantage of, while the ones who split the check get treated like equals. Set your boundaries early and people will actually respect you more, not less.
