Had to choose between a high volume month or sanity this quarter

I decided to cap my projects at 5 this month instead of chasing 8 like I usually do. Turned down a $2,000 gig that would have meant working weekends. Has anyone else tried scaling back and seen their quality of work actually improve?

Man idk but you might be onto something real here. I've been noticing this pattern everywhere lately, where people are acting like being busy is the same as being productive. Like my neighbor brags about working 60 hours a week but he's just moving piles of papers around and answering emails all day. Meanwhile his wife cuts her hours and actually gets more done with less stress. It's like we all got tricked into thinking burnout is a badge of honor or something.

Hustle culture is dying because people like you keep proving that working less makes you more money. You turned down cash you'll never get back, and now you're trying to spin it like a win.

@thomas.river always thought less work meant less success but this proves quality beats quantity every time.
