Heard a project manager say "just be flexible" about scope creep. Lost it a little inside.

Was at a coffee shop near Union Square last week. Overheard this PM talking to someone about freelance designers. Said clients love when you're flexible about extra revisions. My last project started at 3 logo concepts. Ended up at 11 rounds of changes for the same flat fee. That "flexible" attitude cost me about 40 extra hours over a month. Now I have a contract with a hard limit on revisions before a new quote starts. How do you guys handle the scope creep pushback without sounding difficult?

Did you ask them if that "flexible" PM would take a 40% pay cut on their own salary to be "flexible" for their boss's budget cuts? Bet not. What exactly is in your current contract for the revision limit language? I wrote mine as "3 rounds of changes included, anything past that is billed at $X/hour with a 2 hour minimum per extra round" and that shut down most of the scope creep cold.

Read an article saying unlimited revisions kill your bottom line. Smart contract language there.

3 rounds of changes included" is the only way to go honestly lol. Saves you from being the office doormat.
