Hit $10k in a single month for the first time. Took me 18 months of freelancing to get there.
I always thought the 10k milestone was some mythical thing other freelancers hit. Then last month I landed a retainer with a small ecommerce brand plus three one-off projects. The number itself isn't life changing but it proved my rates weren't too high. I had to raise them twice in the last year to get here. What surprised me is that the 10k came from 4 clients not 20. Anyone else find that hitting a dollar target felt different than they expected?

That "4 clients not 20" part really changed how I thought about scaling.

Yeah that "4 clients not 20" part hit me too. Took me way too long to realize chasing more clients wasn't the answer. Once I focused on keeping my best ones happy and raised my rates, the money followed. And hey @kelly_rivera, that's the exact shift that got me past my own plateau.
