I was Wrong about Time Blocking for 3 years, Trello Changed my Mind
I always thought time blocking was for corporate types who love spreadsheets. But last month I had 4 projects all due at once and I was drowning. A friend told me to try Trello with a simple 3 column board for Morning, Afternoon, Evening. I just put one task per block and it took me from working 10 hour days to about 7. The trick was NOT overfilling each slot - max 2 things per block. Anyone else find a simple system that actually stuck after trying everything else?

Tried the EXACT same thing after years of hating planners. Three columns changed everything for me. I cap each block at ONE task now, not two. It forced me to actually pick what mattered instead of cramming.

Didn't David Allen or whoever say something similar about keeping next actions limited to one per project? Feels like there's something to the scarcity thing.

Cap it at one task? Bro I can barely cap myself at one cup of coffee in the morning. But yeah I get it, having less options somehow makes you actually do the thing instead of just thinking about it.
