I finally listened to that guy from the Denver meetup about local citations

He told me to stop focusing on national directories for my client's plumbing business and just get listed on 5 local sites like the Chamber and Nextdoor. I thought it was a waste of time for 2 months, but their map pack ranking jumped from the 4th page to the top 3 spots last week. Has anyone else seen results that fast from cleaning up local citations?

I read somewhere that even one wrong digit on a citation can tank your map pack for months.

That's a solid win for sure. The boring cleanup work is what makes the difference long term though. It's not really about speed, it's about getting the foundation right.

Wish I had your luck. I spent way too long arguing with some directory that had our address wrong by one digit. The local stuff works, but man is it boring to fix.
