Just lost $400 on a bad link building service
I hired a company last month to build some backlinks for a client's site, paying $400 upfront. They promised 20 high quality links but sent me a report full of spammy forum comments and weird directories. The links were so bad I had to disavow most of them to avoid getting penalized. It set the project back by three weeks and I had to refund part of the client's fee. Has anyone found a reliable service for this kind of work, or is it better to just do it yourself now?

I had the same thing happen and just do it myself now. It takes more time but at least you know what you're getting. The risk isn't worth the cheap price tag.

My old apartment had a leaky faucet and the landlord's handyman just made it worse. Honestly I watched a few youtube videos and fixed it in an hour with a ten dollar part from the hardware store. Tbh the peace of mind is way better than waiting for someone who might not care. Now I try to learn the basics for anything simple around the house.
