My antique coin collecting site pulls better SEO numbers than my client's main business page.
I mean, on one side it feels like a win for my methods. But then I think maybe I should pour that effort into client jobs instead. What do you guys do?

My baking blog gets more hits than my freelance portfolio, honestly.

A pal's baking blog blew up while his freelance work stalled.

It's common for hobby content to pull in more random traffic than professional sites. For example, a baking blog gets visits from anyone wanting a cookie recipe, but your portfolio only draws in potential clients. Those client visits are way more valuable even if there are fewer of them. You could try linking your portfolio from your blog posts to cross-promote your work. That way, some of that baking traffic might check out your professional stuff. It's about quality over quantity sometimes.

Used to think high traffic numbers were the only win. Seeing a friend's recipe blog crush his business site changed that. It's all random people looking for brownies, not clients. Now I see those few business visits as way more valuable. The trick is turning your fun site into a funnel for your real work.
