Tried that AI content generator everyone was hyping - total disaster for my site

I was super skeptical when a buddy in our Slack group kept pushing this AI writing tool called Textly. Gave it a shot for 3 blog posts on my client's site back in February. First post had a recipe that said to bake cookies at 500 degrees for 45 minutes lmao. Second one claimed Mount Everest is in Africa. By the third post, Google actually sent a manual action notice about low quality content and my rankings dropped 40 percent overnight. Has anyone else had a tool completely wreck their SEO like that?

Gotta chime in here because I feel your pain. I tried a similar AI writer last year for my hobby blog about vintage cameras. First post it spat out said something about using "digital filters on your analog photos" which is just complete nonsense lmao. Second one claimed the Leica M3 was released in 1995 instead of 1954. I caught those errors before publishing but it made me realize the tool was basically just shuffling words from random websites. Honestly those things are just Google-bait garbage that will wreck your site.

Wait, Google sent an actual MANUAL ACTION for that? I thought those were only for spammy link schemes or keyword stuffing. That's insane they're cracking down on AI content that hard already.
