Was dead set against using AI for SEO content until last week

I always thought AI wrote garbage that Google would penalize. Then a buddy showed me how he uses it to outline his blog posts and write the first draft, then edits it. He pulled in 200 organic visits in 2 weeks using that method. Has anyone else found a way to make AI work without getting flagged?

Wait, so we're supposed to trust Google to fairly judge our content when they can't even keep their own search results from being filled with spam and affiliate garbage? Seems like no one actually knows what works anymore, we're all just throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping it sticks.

Yeah I hear you @charlie198. 3 months is the real check.

200 visits in two weeks is not that impressive honestly. Could be pure luck or a niche with zero competition. Google is getting better at spotting AI patterns every update. Wouldn't bet my site on that. Most people who claim AI content works are just looking at surface numbers. Check back in 3 months when those posts get deindexed. Seen it happen to a few guys on here. The real test is long term rankings and actual user engagement. A buddy of mine used AI outlines and still got hit by the helpful content update. So even mixing human editing doesn't guarantee safety. Until Google straight up says AI assistance is fine I'm staying away. Way too risky for any site you actually care about.

Charlie's right honestly. 200 visits is nothing. My cousin's site got 500 in week one and now it's dead. Google updates hit like a truck. The helpful content update doesn't care if you edited your AI stuff a little. Seen too many people cry about losing traffic after a few months. Not worth the headache for a real site.
