Can we talk about how many people skip the contract for small jobs?
I learned the hard way after a $500 website update turned into a two month argument about scope. Now I use a simple one page agreement for everything, even a two hour fix. What's your go-to contract for quick gigs?

That "one page agreement about deliverables" is the real key. It forces everyone to agree on what "done" looks like before any work starts. It saves so many headaches over vague expectations.

Ever see what happens when a handshake deal goes bad? My buddy redid a friend's logo for a couple hundred bucks, no contract. The client came back six months later demanding all the original source files and full ownership, claiming that was the deal. It turned into a huge mess over something a one page agreement about deliverables would have solved in two minutes. He lost the friendship and still didn't get paid for the extra work they demanded. Now he won't change a font size without a signed doc.
