Got my first 'no changes needed' email on a project draft this morning

I've been writing website copy for about eight months now, and I kept seeing other new writers send these super formal, stiff drafts. I started adding a short note at the top explaining my choices in plain talk, like 'I made this part friendly because your site says you're approachable.' The client just wrote back saying it was perfect as-is. Has anyone else tried explaining their work like that? Did it help?

Totally works. I started doing quick voice notes instead of emails for feedback, just talking through a couple key points. Clients love it, way less back and forth.

Honestly that sounds like a nightmare for keeping a clear record.

Ngl the whole idea of voice notes actually raises a security concern nobody's touching on. If a client disputes something down the line, you've got an audio recording that could be taken out of context. At least with emails you've got written proof of exactly what was said. Voice notes feel way too loose for anything with real stakes attached.

My last boss would have fired me for leaving no paper trail, sean48.
