Picked a $600 retainer over a $3k project this month

Turned down a big website build to keep monthly retainers for two existing clients and ended up with more steady work than I've had in six months, anyone else choosing smaller regular work over big one-offs?

Ha, yeah I felt that one. I dropped a big redesign to keep a monthly retainer client and the steady checks have been way less stressful than chasing down one big payment.
