Spent $2k on a fancy freelance course and it was a total waste of money.
The 'expert' advice was just generic stuff you can find for free, and the promised client leads were just a list of cold email addresses from two years ago.

Heard a podcast where they called those lists "digital ghosts," full of dead emails and fake accounts. It's basically paying for a bunch of bounce-backs and spam traps. Pretty rough way to burn cash, lmao.

So you basically paid two grand for a dusty old phone book... @theacooper nailed it with the expensive email list thing. That's just brutal. You could have set that money on fire and gotten more warmth out of it. Those courses sell a dream but just deliver a recycled PDF and a headache. What a total scam.
