Forked over $200 for a fancy mixer and it just sits there now

I was all hyped about getting a pro audio mixer for my freelance video livestreams, dropped $200 on a Mackie. After three gigs, I realized my $40 USB interface does the same job for my setup. Anyone else buy gear that ended up being overkill?

Wait, you're saying the $40 interface actually holds up for livestreams? I feel like I overdo it every time and end up with a bunch of knobs I never touch lol. My Mackie has like 12 channels but I only ever use two mics and a laptop input, so half of it's just gathering dust on my desk. Honestly I think I'd be better off with something smaller and cheaper, but now I'm stuck with this thing cause I can't bring myself to sell it.

Honestly @craig.olivia, why not just list it on Facebook Marketplace or something? You could probably get $100 for it easy and put that toward a smaller interface that actually fits your setup. What's holding you back from just letting it go?

Wait, 12 channels just gathering dust?? That's wild lol. I can't even imagine having that many knobs just sitting there looking at me every day, I'd feel so guilty haha.
