Can we talk about how my workspace changed after switching to a south facing window?
I spent 2 years in a north facing room with gray walls, thinking my photos looked fine until I moved my desk to a south facing window in March. Within a week, my client edits looked way more accurate and I stopped second guessing colors on every project. Has anyone else noticed a big shift in their work quality just from changing your lighting direction?

You sure it's not just placebo? I moved my desk to a south window last summer and barely noticed a difference. My calibrator does the heavy lifting anyway.

Placebo effect is real but this one's easy to test yourself. Next time you get a new print back try looking at it under different lighting before running any adjustments. Ambient light changes perceived contrast and color temperature in ways a calibrator just can't account for.

Bought into that mindset for years actually until I moved my own setup around a few months back. The difference was subtle but real once I stopped staring at the screen and just let my eyes adjust.
