Pro tip: I bought a $40 foot hammock stand for my balcony and it's now my best thinking spot.

I was stuck on a project, staring at my desk for hours, so I set it up outside just to try something different. The change of air and gentle sway totally broke the mental block and I solved the problem in twenty minutes. Do you have a specific spot you go to when you're stuck at your home office?

I always thought I needed total quiet, but my back porch with the neighbor's dog barking actually gets my brain going now.

My thinking spot is just my couch after I give up.

Yeah, that's the real one. So many good ideas hit when you finally stop trying to force it. Your brain just needs to shut up for a minute to actually work.

That reminds me of my buddy Chris, the dude is a commercial electrician and overanalyzes everything. He spent three hours trying to figure out a wiring diagram at his kitchen table, got super frustrated, and just went to lie down on his floor. @emma_lee22, he said the neighbor's lawnmower starting up actually helped him see the solution clear as day. He just sat up, sketched it on a napkin, and had it done in twenty minutes the next morning. It's wild how the universe works like that, you know? Your brain needs that distraction to stop spinning its wheels and just get out of its own way.
