PSA: My $80 noise cancelling headphones broke after 3 months of daily use
I bought a pair of Anker Soundcore headphones for my coworking space sessions and the left ear just went dead last Thursday. Anyone have a decent pair that didn't crap out on them after a few months?

Yeah the "well actually they have good warranty support" thing always makes me chuckle because okay sure but I still have to deal with the hassle of boxing them up and waiting for a replacement while my left ear is just dead silence. That whole process takes like two weeks minimum. I bought a pair of Sony XM4s like two years ago and they're still going strong but that's a totally different price bracket obviously. It's just wild to me that we've normalized spending $80+ on headphones that might die in a quarter of a year. I swear my old wired earbuds from 2015 are still kicking around somewhere in my car's center console.

Well actually Anker Soundcore generally has pretty good warranty support, so you might want to reach out to them before writing them off completely. I've had my pair going on a year now with no problems.

Why does everyone act like a 1-year lifespan is something to brag about? Shouldn't a decent pair of earbuds last longer than that before you have to beg for a warranty replacement?
