The $15 magnetic hook that fixed my home office clutter
I kept losing my headphones and charger cables on my desk every morning. After 6 months of frustration I tried one of those magnetic hooks on the side of my metal filing cabinet. Now I hang my headset and a power strip there and my desk is actually clear. Has anyone else found a cheap fix that made a big difference in their workspace?

Six months of frustration over a charger cable? I just shove mine in a drawer and dig it out when I need it, takes like 10 seconds. A $15 hook feels like overkill for something you could solve by just putting stuff away. Honestly, I think people blow desk clutter way out of proportion.

People get so focused on one little thing being just right, it reminds me how everyone's got their own threshold for what's worth paying for versus just dealing with. You'll see it in every part of life, from how folks organize their garage to how they load the dishwasher - some problems are worth ten bucks to solve, others aren't worth a dime.

You ever notice how the same person who won't spend two bucks on a phone charger hook will drop fifty dollars on a fancy reusable water bottle they barely use? My brother-in-law is like that with his truck. He'll drive around with a check engine light on for months because he doesn't want to pay for a diagnostic, but he'll spend a hundred bucks on a magnetic phone mount that works exactly the same as the ten dollar one. I guess it's like that with everything - we've all got our weird priorities that don't make sense to anyone else.
